The
Mac Pro is Apple's most powerful desktop computer ever, aimed at high-end professional users who need ultimate performance
and expandability. This is the workstation of choice for most professional graphic designers, repro houses, video editors
and publishers and it's really designed to run the very demanding applications used in these areas. If you just want
to browse the internet or do word processing then a Mac Pro is not the right machine for you. If you want very fast
processing power, massive storage and specialist graphics and video capabilities then read on.
Mac Pro can be configured with a range of different processors - Quad-Core Intel Xeon “Nehalem” or 6-core “Westmere” and you can have one or two processors, giving you up to 12-core processing power. RAM is expandable up to 64GB and disk storage can be up to 8TB which can be conventional drives or solid-state drives which are up to twice as fast. Drives can be configured as a RAID array for fault-tolerance and improved performance.
